Violence has erupted at the Northern regional party office of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) following the sacking of Hon. Haruna Idrissu as the party’s Minority leader in parliament.

The General Secretary for the NDC, Fifi Faivi Kwetey addressed a letter to the Speaker of Parliament, informing him of the party’s decision to change its leadership in parliament.

The opening remarks read: The national leadership of the National Democratic Congress wishes to formally bring to your notice the following changes the Party has undertaken in its parliamentary leadership.

Hon. Dr. Cassiel Ato Forson replaces Hon. Haruna Idrissu as Minority leader.
