NPP Is Trying To Cheat Alan Even Though It Is His Time – Carlos Ahenkorah Laments

The New Patriotic Party Member of Parliament for Tema West Constituency, Mr. Carlos Ahenkorah has lamented alleged attempts by his Party to cheat and prevent Mr. Alan Kyeemateng from becoming the Party’s flag bearer for the next election.

According to the lawmaker, even though it is the former Trade and Industry Minister’s turn to lead the Party, there are attempts to cheat him from realizing this goal.

Carlos Ahenkorah has expressed his belief that if Alan Kyerematen is not chosen as the flagbearer for the New Patriotic Party in the upcoming 2024 election, it could lead to division within the party, ultimately hindering their aspirations of securing a third consecutive term in office, also known as “breaking the eight”. Ahenkorah has gone on to state that it is unfair to suggest anyone else lead the party in 2024 and that the party delegates strongly believe that it is Kyerematen’s turn to take the mantle.

Mr. Ahenkorah also accused government appointees of massively supporting Vice President Bawumia in order to secure their positions.

Mr. Alan Kyeremateng is expected to go head to head with Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia for the flagbearership position of the NPP, even though there are also other contenders vying for the position.
