NPP Betrays Allotey Jacobs – Says They Do Not Need His Endorsement To Win 2020 Polls

The Bono East Regional Secretary of the ruling New Patriotic Party has stated emphatically that the NPP does not need the endorsement of former NDC Central Regional Chairman, Bernard Allotey Jacobs to win in the Central Region.

David Boakye, NPP Regional Secretary for Bono East stated that Allotey Jacobs failed woefully as the regional chairman of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) during the 2016 general elections, when the NDC moved from 18 parliamentary seats in the Central Region to a meagre 4 seats.

Mr. Boakye made this comment in reaction to popular reactions after Allotey Jacobs was spotted in a photo with President Akufo-Addo during the commissioning of the Ekumfi Pineapple juice factory and Casa de Ropa.

Many were of the opinion that Allotey Jacobs’ endorsement of the NPP will go a long way to boost the chances of the party but David Boakye thinks otherwise. According to him, the NPP will win with or without Allotey Jacobs.

Mr. Allotey Jacobs appears to have been reduced to an outcast within his own party, after he was suspended for what the party terms as “anti-party conduct”.
