NIB Waiting For Speaker’s Approval To Arrest Reverend Ntim Fordjuor – Kwakye Ofosu

The National Intelligence Bureau (NIB) has formally requested the Speaker of Parliament, Alban Bagbin, to release Assin South MP Reverend John Ntim Fordjour for questioning over his allegations regarding drug trafficking and money laundering involving two aircraft in Ghana.
Felix Kwakye Ofosu, Minister of State in Charge of Government Communications, disclosed this during an appearance on Face to Face on Channel One TV. He stated that security agencies have sought to interrogate the MP following his claims but have yet to receive a response from Parliament.
“The NIB wrote to the Speaker to release Rev. Ntim Fordjour for investigations, but as of now, the Speaker has not responded,” Kwakye Ofosu said. “Once approval is granted, he will be made available for questioning.”
The Minister emphasized the need for transparency in the matter, proposing that the MP’s interrogation be made public. “Given the gravity of the allegations, I have requested that the questioning be conducted openly to ensure accountability,” he added.
