National Security Services Being Partisan Under Akufo Addo – NDC

National Communications Officer of the opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC), Sammy Gyamfi has chided the Akufo Addo led government for infiltrating the country’s security services with partisan politics.

Speaking at a press conference on Wednesday, he said the police service especially has been rendered useless because government keeps interfering in their work.

“The Armed forces is being bastardised left right and centre, as for the police, they have been rendered useless. For all the police and soldiers in uniform who are being partisan, we want to let them know that there will be retribution. And for the few ones who still have their integrity and conscience intact, this is the time to rise up and be counted because we want to tell those bad ones that we shall fish them out and deal with them. That includes the Efutu Police commander,” he stated.

This comes after the Kasoa shooting incidence where Member of Parliament of Awutu Senya East, Mavis Hawa Koomson admitted firing a gun at a voters registration centre.

Various organisations and personalities have since then called for her sack with leader of Imani Ghana, Franklin Cudjoe daring President Akufo Addo to sack her or lose his friendship.
