My Support For Akufo-Addo Is Not Because Of Money; I Would Have Stayed With Mahama If I Wanted Money – Afia Schwar

Controversial Comedienne, Afia Schwarzenegger has revealed that her support and endorsement of the New Patriotic Party and its flagbearer, Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo is not based on monetary considerations as is being speculated.

The comedienne, who until recently was a strong supporter of the opposition NDC and its flagbearer, John Dramani Mahama, whom she used to describe as a father, shocked Ghanaians a few weeks ago when she crossed carpet to support the ruling NPP.

According to her, this decision is based on the NPP’s flagship free SHS program which she believes has been a massive support to the underprivilledged in society, who hitherto would not have been able to access secondary education because of financial constraints.

Afia has come under a barrage of accusations since she disclosed her decision, with many NDC apparatchiks accusing her of ditching her conscience for money, a claim she vehemently denies.

Reacting to some rumours of her extorting money from NPP stalwart, Gabby Otchere Darko, she wrote, “Last week news: Afia Schwar allegedly rewarded by NPP with a huge sum. Yesterday News: Afia Schwarzenegger trying to extort money from Gabby” Guys kindly be accurate and consistent with your lies cos if truly I was paid by anyone as u claim, there won’t be any need for extortion.

Common sense is indeed Not common to so many people …Stop trying cos Ghanaians know my level of honesty.I say again if it is about my stomach and money I will stick with JM.Good morning it’s Mogpa Time…Ablaze!!!!
