Mahama’s Roads In Volta Region Have Become Fish Ponds – Wontumi Jabs

The Ashanti Regional Chairman of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Bernard Antwi-Boasiako popularly known as Chairman Wontumi has claimed former president John Mahama’s constructed roads in the Volta region have been turned to fish ponds.

Speaking on the Wontumi Morning show, he indicated that John Mahama cared little for Voltarians therefore he constructed bad roads for them which have eventually deteriorated in few years.

“Mahama should have rather constructed fish ponds for the people of Volta. All the roads Mahama constructed in Volta region have become fish ponds,” Wontumi stated.

The National Democratic Congress (NDC) had accused the NPP of neglecting the Volta region in its 2020 budget of which the NPP had admitted was an oversight.

Vice President Mahamudu Bawumia in reaction dared the NDC to show Ghanaians where the many beautifully drawn pictures of roads in their Green Book could be found. He described the NDC’s records in constructing roads as “very embarrassing.”
