Liverpool have been crowned English Premier League (EPL) champions for the first time in 30 years after Manchester City lost to Chelsea.

The defeat leaves Man City 23 points behind the leaders, with seven games left.

A win at Stamford Bridge could have delayed Liverpool’s trophy a little longer, however, the Citizens have their two season EPL champions reign officially over.

 Chelsea boost their top-four hopes

On the otherhand, Chelsea’s victory have seen them boost their top four hopes as Manchester United and Wolves look keen to close the gap.

The Blues are now five points clear of the teams immediately below them.
