‘Konadu Can’t Rejoin the NDC When The ‘Hawks’ That Pushed Her Out Are Still There – NDP Gen. Secretary

Former first lady, Konadu Agyemang Rawlings won’t be rejoining the National Democratic Congress (NDC), General Secretary of the National Democratic Party (NDP), Alhaji Mohammed Frimpong.

According to him, the ‘hawks’ within the NDC who forced the founding father’s wife to desert the party to form her own party have still not left and there Mrs Rawlings cannot return.

“She can’t rejoin a party when the hawks that forced her to form her own party are still there,” Alhaji Mohammed Frimpong said.

Konadu’s daughter, Zanetor Rawlings during a memorial service last week in honour of their late father Jerry John Rawlings urged the NDC to accept Mrs Rawlings back into the party.
