KNUST To Implement ‘One Student, One Room Policy Following The Re-opening Of Universities

The Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST) has outlined the implementation of one student, one-room policy, as part of measures to check the spread of the novel coronavirus as Universities re-open.

At least 1,500 students who are expected to return to school will be entitled to a room each as they prepare for their final exams, Mr. Daniel Norish Bekoe, Public Relations Officer of the University confirmed.

According to Mr Bekoe, the move is to ensure compliance to the protocols protocols set out by the Ghana Health Service and government to curb the spread of COVID 19 in the country.

Mr. Daniel Norish Bekoe also revealed that all lecture halls would also have veronica buckets for hands washing and properly spaced up seating arrangement.

“All workers at the university would be provided with face masks while hand sanitizers and washing items would be made available on the university campus”, he added.
