Kennedy Agyapong Bounces Back With Broke MP’s Stories

Published

Honorable Kennedy Agyapong, has returned after suffering what people say is an embarrassment for Kweku Baako winning a lawsuit against him.

The Member of Parliament for Assin Central is back with more insight and laudable opinions as typical of him but this time on defeated incumbent MP’s in the recent Parliamentary Primaries Elections by the New Patriotic Party.

It is believed most of these MPs lost the elections because of the overwhelming demands from constituents.

Hon. Ken Agyapong therefore reiterated the need for Government Institutions and Ministers to award contracts to financially unsound MPs so they could meet some of the demands of their constituents.

He said failure of the party to protect the MPs by not awarding them contracts had led to the majority of these MP’s being defeated in the elections as they were not financially sound to meet the demands of their constituents.

He said, Ministers of States and CEO’s politically appointed by Akufo- Addo should seek to award contracts to these broke MPs instead of businessmen so the broke MP’s could earn more to meet the demands of the constituents instead of asking businessmen men for GH₵20,000.00 and below.

He further went on to say that, if not for the NPP protecting some of these incumbent MP’s, they would have also lost like their colleagues did.

Hon. Ken shockingly revealed that, parliament was difficult to be and as such he finds it interesting when he sees people fighting to be members of parliament and that, what happened to the defeated MP’s should be a lesson to the NPP whom to award contracts to when they come to power again.
