Maverick MP for Assin Central, Kennedy Ohene Agyapong has confirmed that indeed he underwent a brain surgery in the United States.
Rumors of the lawmaker’s surgery was first peddled by US-based Ghanaian Journalist, Kevin Taylor.
There were other reports that the lawmaker had suffered a stroke, though those were debunked by persons close to him.
In an interview on a local radio station in his constituency, Ken Agyapong confirmed that he underwent surgery to remove a tumor in the left side of his brain.
According to him, the tumor was first diagnosed at the Lancet Laboratory in Ghana after he had suffered a minor accident in his bathroom in which he hit his head.
The lawmaker denied reports of a stroke and revealed that he spent a whooping $283,000 to remove the tumor in America.
