On Friday, 26th June, Hon. Kennedy Agyapong, a Member of Parliament for Assin Central was asked to pay defamatory damages to Mr. Kweku Baako.
This was as a result of a lawsuit brought against him by the journalist, Abdul Malik Kweku Baako Jnr for using defamatory words against him by the opinionated lawmaker.
Kwaku Baako, who is also the Editor-in-Chief for the New Crusading Guide newspaper however revealed that, he didn’t sue Hon. Ken because of the money but to redeem his integrity and hence his decision to donate the money from the honorable to Charity.
“There’s another angle I’m looking at but I won’t disclose it now. We’ll take the cash there. I may top it with my own money. I’m broke myself but I don’t need that kind of money. That’s not why I went to court. I sort to prevent my integrity for the vicious and malicious words used against me.” Kweku Baako said.
He also revealed that, he will follow the Member of Parliament on the platforms where he made the defamatory words against him to see if he will indeed apologise.
