JB Danquah’s Murder Was An Inside Job- Hon. Kennedy Agyapong

Honorable Kennedy Agyapong, a member of parliament  has revealed that, the late MP for Hon. JB Danquah’s death was an inside job.

The outspoken Assin Fosu Central MP recounted how the whole incident happened on that fateful day when JB was murdered.

He said  he was in the house when he received a call from the police that, one of their MP’s had been murdered by armed robbers. Quickly, he drove to the house of the late JB Danquah where he was ushered in by three policemen to the crime scene.

Before then, he took a detective look around the house and realised that, an intruder could only enter the house through the main entrance and to use that path, it could only be done by the assistance of an insider.

Interestingly, just when he pondered on such observations, the police directed him to a window where there was a supposed ladder by which the suspect had used in entering the house to carry the  evil act.

Years after, judgement on the case still remains shrouded and  Hon. Kennedy explained how the circumstances behind  handling of the case and investigations proved indeed that it was an inside job.

First, the suspect was kept in a cells where he was given a cell phone to use which the MP says was wrong and questionable.

He further went on to reveal that, the mentioning of names of some prominent people such as former president Mahama, Stan Dogbe, Amadu Sologo- former MP for Madina, William Smith and Woyome in the the honorable member’s death should be  a wake up call to Ghanaians to question the death of the MP.

He expressed his disappointment in the NPP  government and the Ghana police for making no headway in JB Danquah’s murder case.

JB Danguah was a member of parliament for the Abuakwa North who was murdered in cold blood in his house on the 9th of April, 2016.

Also, a police officer who was present during the interrogation of the suspect, refused to speak on the issue until he went on pension.

I Have The Stamina to Endure Protracted Litigation – Kweku Baako Replies Ken Agyapong’s Lawyer

Managing Editor of The New Crusading Guide, Abdul Malik Kweku Baako has noted that he has the endurance for a protracted litigation with Member of Parliament for Assin Central, Kennedy Agyapong.

Lawyer for Mr Agyapong, Ralph Agyapong had disclosed in an interview Net2 TV that the Assin Central Member of Parliament is ready to appeal the defamation case to the highest level.

“If there is a judgement, after one week the judgement ceases. So after one week if you have any processes you can go ahead with it. As I speak to you, that Judgement will be a subject of appeal from Monday because as I speak, the notice of appeal is ready. So If it becomes subject of appeal, there’s a process called a stay of execution pending an appeal.

Responding to this, Malik Kweku Baako stated in a post that he is unbothered and ready to face Mr Agyapong in court no matter how long it takes for justice to prevail.

“This is the judgment that would be a subject of appeal as indicated by Mr Kennedy Agyapong’s lawyer, Mr. Ralph Agyapong. Appeal is an option guaranteed by law. And must be respected by all. I have the requisite stamina to endure a protracted litigation. It doesn’t matter how long it takes the courts to make a final determination, judgment day shall come. And INTEGRITY shall triumph over UGLY NOISES and MALICIOUS ALLEGATIONS ! TRUST ME!!!,” the post read.

An Accra high court had found Kennedy Agyapong guilty of defamation against Mr Baako and ordered him to retract and apologise three times on the platforms he used to defame the veteran journalist within 30 days.

In addition, he’s supposed to pay a fine of GHS100,000 in damages plus cost of GHS30,000.

It’s Not Ethical to Name Coronavirus Patients – GHS

The Ghana Health Service has said it will not be revealing persons, particularly government appointees who have tested positive for the Coronavirus.

According to the Director General of the GHS, Dr. Patrick Kumah Aboagye, it is against medical ethics to expose individuals infected with the virus, noting it could have a toll on the fight against stigmatization.

“As I mentioned, I cannot really, ethically, tell you all these numbers and mention names and their status. It cannot be done,” Dr Aboagye said at the Covid-19 press briefing at the information ministry.

He however added that it is upto these infected individuals to decide to come out voluntarily and announce their status.

“I’m sure there are media men who have also been exposed, and we don’t have their numbers and names (in the public domain) but those who came out and did that voluntarily, that’s what we encourage. We are not going to be able to mention anybody’s name and there is no need,” he stressed.

Ghana’s total case count as at dawn of July 4, stood at 19,388, with active cases standing at 4,941 and 14,330 recoveries. Death toll at 117.
