If You’re Sleeping Wake Up – Kyei-Mensah To Mahama On Biden Links
Majority Leader, Osei Kyei-Mensah-Bonsu has told former president John Dramani Mahama not to draw any correlation between the victory of Joe Biden as President of America and that of Ghana ahead of the 2020 polls.
This comes after John Mahama congratulated Joe Biden and reiterated his desire to work with him which alludes to his conviction that come December 7, he (Mahama) will win the elections.
However, in an interview on Joy News, the Majority leader noted that Mahama must be awoken from his slumber if he ever thinks Ghanaians will ever bring him back.
“Somebody should wake him up from his slumber. Perhaps it’s one of the attributes of incompetent people. In his slumber he thinks that he can win,” he said.
He added, “don’t forget even when they were losing, they were telling Ghanaians that they were in a commanding lead just like Donald Trump did. When he was losing, he said his people should rest he has won, John Mahama style. The two of them come from the same stock. So, John should pack his things and go and rest in pieces.”

Bawumia’s Non-Akan Campaign Strategy For 2024 Is Dead On Arrival – Inusah Fuseini
Former lawmaker for Tamale Central, Inusah Fuseini says the campaign strategy adopted by Vice President Dr Mahamudu Bawumia to use the New Patriotic Party’s (NPP) Akan stance against them in order to be elected flagbearer will fail.
According to him, Dr Bawumia and majority leaders, Kyei-Mensah Bonsu are banking their hopes on using non-Akan on its members in order to get delegates to vote Bawumia as flagbearer for the 2024 polls.
“What did you expect Osei Kyei Mensah Bonsu to say than say what he said. He is trying to exorcise the spirit behind the NPP party. A party that has been touted as an Akan party that gives no opportunity to Northerners and as a party that went out of its way to invite Northerners into their fold, they feel that this is the best time to give the highest position of the party to a Northerner to seal or solidify and kill the mantra that NPP is an Akan party. That is what he was trying to do. It is a political strategy and that is the campaign strategy of Mahamudu Bawumia but it will fail,” Inusah Fuseini was quoted by mynewsgh.

When Did NDC Pick An Ashanti As Presidential Candidate? – Kennedy Agyapong Launches Attack On NPP
Assin Central lawmaker, Kennedy Agyapong has wondered why some members of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) continue to label the party as an Akan party.
Speaking on Oman FM, he wondered why the opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC) which has never chosen an Ashanti as flagbearer before not label itself as non-Akan.
“People say NPP is an Akan party, its rubbish. Has NDC ever picked an Ashanti as presidential candidate? When did they pick an Ashanti as vice president? Why should we run away from the truth?
“We should be bold to criticize anyone who tags the NPP as an Akan party. Has the NDC ever picked an Ashanti. We will say it and it will come to pass. Tell me when NDC picked an Ashanti as presidential candidate. Why do we always tag ourselves as Akan party. It won’t help the party.
“NDC have the courage to pick anyone. They also choose either Northerner or Voltarian why don’t we also say that it’s a party for Northerners or Voltarians,” he slammed.

Where Else Should We Do Politics If Not Parliament? – Asiedu Nketia Asks Kyei-Mensah
General Secretary of the opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC), Johnson Asiedu Nketia has admonished Majority Leader, Osei Kyei-Mensah Bonsu for his comments against him.
Mr Kyei-Mensah had expressed unhappiness about Mr Asiedu Nketia’s appointment on to the Parliamentary Service Board, describing him as intrusive.
He further accused Asiedu Nketia of playing politics with Parliamentary duties.
Speaking on Power FM however, Mr Asiedu Nketia noted that the Majority leader is an ignoramus and wondered where else he expected him to engage in politics.
“I think Osei-Kyei-Mensah-Bonsu went home after making that statement feeling guilty. How can you say, I’ll do politics with my position? Speaker Bagbin saw me to be an intelligent person who can also contribute to the development of parliament and he appointed me,” he said.
Apart from Parliament, where else does he think we can do politics? Parliament is rather the best place to deal with multiparty issues. Parliament is the hotbed of multiparty engagements,” he told host Kwame Minkah.
