Gov’t Distributing Weapons To Vigilantes In The Volta Region – Asiedu Nketia Alleges

General Secretary of the opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC), Johnson Asiedu Nketia has claimed he has evidence that government is planning to turn the Volta region into a war zone ahead of the December polls.

Speaking on NEAT FM’s morning show ‘Ghana Montie’ on Monday, he said he is reliably informed about some sharing of guns to government sponsored vigilante groups in the region.

According to him, the NPP is behind the recent secessionist attacks in the Volta region and have plans to give military uniforms and guns to some vigilante groups to cause mayhem in the region during the elections.

He insisted he has the list of all guns and its registered numbers given to the vigilante groups.

He further called on Ghanaians to rise up and speak against the government else they’ll run the country into chaos.
