Ghana Cannot Be Handed Back To NDC; We Can Only Prosper If The 8-year Cycle Is Broken – Akufo-Addo

President Akufo-Addo says Ghana has failed to reach its prosperous level because the New Patriotic Party (NPP) exited power after John Agyekum Kuffuor.

Speaking on Kumasi based FM he said the John Atta-Mills, John Mahama administration which too over from the NPP took the nation backwards after all efforts by Kuffuor to prosper the nation.

For this reason, he said, the NPP’s determination to break the 8 in 2024 at all cost to ensure Ghana does not return into the hands of the NDC again.

The President also said he’ll not be backing any candidate who will be vying for flagbearer of the NPP.

He said he’ll be willing to support anyone chosen to lead the party in 2024.
