Kennedy Agyapong, Assin Central legislator has admonished the New Patriotic Party (NPP) for being overly democratic in the face of rampant tension and violence allegedly orchestrated by the opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC).
Speaking on his station Net2 TV, he claimed that the NDC are planning highway robberies ahead of the December polls to create fear and panic in the country.
According to him, the NDC have joined hands with a rebel Fulani group called Jallo Nagyinam to rob and persecute Ghanaians only on highways and perpetrate lawlessness in the country.
He charged his party, the ruling NPP to take his claims serious and act upon it.
He added that the NPP have been too democratic and allowing criminals in the NDC to go scot free; insisting even Jesus and his disciples were not that democratic.
He warned that the month of November will see worst crimes and lawlessness if the NPP fails to get tough and arrest criminals.
