Economic Measures: Some MPs Want Ofori-Atta to Speak in Parliament, We’ll Look At That – Oppong Nkrumah
Information Minister Kojo Oppong Nkrumah has revealed that some Members of Parliament want the scheduled announcement of the new measures introduced by the government done in Parliament House by the Finance Minister Ken Ofori Atta.
The Ofoase Ayirebi lawmaker said that request will be examined.
“I am not quite sure if that is the programme activity. Yes the Finance Minister will be speaking to the nation, I do understand that there are some who wants that to be done in Parliament , there is an indication that some MPs are requesting that he does that through parliament , we will examine it and see if it should be done in Parliament,” he said on the Good Evening Ghana programme on Tuesday March 22 when he was asked by the announcement.
President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo has assured the nation that Mr Ofori Atta will be announcing the measures that have been taken by the government to tackle the economic challenges facing the country at the moment.
Mr Akufo-Addo said this during a meeting with Council of State members at the Jubilee House in Accra on Tuesday March 22.
