Carlos Ahenkorah Has Resigned–And President Akufo Addo Has Accepted Resignation

Following reports that President Akufo Addo has asked the Deputy Minister of Trade and Industry Minister and MP for Tema West-Carlos Ahenkorah to either resign or be fired after breaking COVID-19 protocols, Mr Ahenkorah has resigned.

A communication from the Presidency (below) states that Mr Ahenkorah breached COVID-19 protocols as a known POSITIVE person who did not self-isolate and rather went about visiting EC Registration centres.

The President in the statement wished him well.

Carlos Ahenkorah remains an MP for Tema West but has just resigned as a Minister.
