Black Stars Match Won’t Take Our Minds Off ‘Obviously Painful’ 2023 Budget Reading – Kwakye Ofosu

Felix Ofosu Kwakye, a former Deputy Minister for Communications says the government has deliberately decided to read the 2023 budget on a day and time when the black stars are bracing to face Portugal in the ongoing 2022 world cup.

He however insists the expected jubilation over the football match will not take away the attention of Ghanaians from the rather painful budget.

“This government thinks they are smart. They have timed the budget to coincide with Ghana’s match against Portugal,” he wrote on social media.

“We will beat Portugal convincingly and just one minute after that, we will be back to discuss what will in all likelihood be a killer and most painful budget,” he added.
