President Akufo-Addo could be facing legal prosecution should the flagbearer of the Ghana Union Movement (GUM), Christian Kwabena Andrews, popularly known as Osofo Kyiri Abosom win the December 2020 polls.
This comes after Kyiri Absom questioned the rationale behind the breaking down of buildings to make way for the President’s dream National Cathedral.
According to him, National Cathedral was a personal promise made to God by the President and therefore the best he could have done is to buy a land somewhere and build it with his own money.
He noted that Ghanaians never promised God a Cathedral, therefore it’s needless breaking down people’s buildings, quizzing which God President Akufo-Addo seeks to build the cathedral for.
He threatened to sue Nana Akufo-Addo if he ever gets to be President.
âWe Ghanaians have not promised God any cathedral. My church building is not full. Some church are not full so if you have any idea to build a cathedral for your own God, there is land at the Nsawam and Kasoa roads, go and buy some and build for him. Is he building for his God or our God? If itâs for God then our church are not full. Our churches are empty so if he wants to build a house for his own God then he should go and buy a land,â he told GhOne.
