Akuapem North: Constituents Petition Municipal Assembly Over Lack Of Transparency In Usage Of MPs Common Fund

Published

Two constituents from Akuapem North, Joseph Ahwireng-Danquah and Patrick Boi Akuffo-Kumih, have reportedly sent a petition to the Akuapem Municipal Assembly, asking for a treasure map detailing the mysterious whereabouts of the Member of Parliament’s share of the common fund.

In what seems to be a desperate quest for transparency, the duo is not only demanding information on the usage of the funds but is also seeking a detailed breakdown of the mystical programs, projects, and activities these funds allegedly sponsored in the constituency.

The petitioners, not satisfied with the ordinary, have gone a step further, requesting a comprehensive list of beneficiary communities and individuals who may have accidentally stumbled upon the MP’s benevolent largesse.

But the complaint doesn’t end there. The petitioners are vociferously lamenting the neglect they feel from their elected representative, Hon. Nana Ama Dokua Asiamah-Adjei.

It remains to be seen whether the Akuapem Municipal Assembly will respond to this petition with a detailed ledger or a magical spell to summon the missing financial records.
