Agenda 111 Project: Somanya District Hospital Is Ready – Regional Minister

The Eastern Regional Minister, Honourable Seth Kwame Acheampong has revealed that the construction of Somanya District Hospital is 100% completed and it will soon be commissioned.

According to him, Phase one of the Regional Hospital is at 46% with design, construction, and equipping which will serve as a Teaching Hospital.

Speaking at the meet the press series in Accra, the Minister said the modernization and equipment of four selected health facilities at Aburi, Tetteh Quashie Memorial Hospital, Kibi District Hospital, and Atibie are also 91% complete.

The minister said Community Health Planning Service compounds have been completed at Ahankrasu, Akyem Mampong, Tiawa, and Nsutam while Construction of Trauma Hospital at Anyinam and Accident/Emergency Center at Enyiresi is ongoing.

Honorable Seth Kwame Acheampong said the supply contract for five 40-bed Hospitals at Jumapo, Kwabeng, Nkwatia, Adukrom, and Achiase is also at 40% stages of implementation.

He said the Government has completed a Clinic at Akyem Asene and completed a medical laboratory at Akyem Oda Government Hospital.
