A Mediocre Man Who Has Appointed A Supremely Intelligent Woman – Controversial Feminist Slams Mahama For His “Hypocrisy”

Controversial Ghanaian journalist, writer, and editor Nana Ama Agyemang Asante, a staff of Citi Fm Accra, and a very loudmouth feminist who has often made headlines for her extreme opinion on issues has slammed former President John Mahama for what she insinuates to be hypocrisy.

In the past few days, many feminists and female gender advocates have applauded the former President for appointing Prof. Jane Naana Opoku Agyemang as running mate, giving an opportunity for females to also come close to the center of power.

President Mahama himself touted his appointment yesterday via twitter, saying he and his party are willing to give women the needed push to get them into mainstream politics, and hence decision-making.

However, reacting to the issue, Nana Ama has slammed President Mahama for his choice of words, insinuating that it is not the former President who is adding some shine to the learned Professor, but the other way round.

She wrote, “Imagine the mediocre man who has chosen a supremely intelligent woman to bring some shine to his otherwise uninspiring ticket saying, ”we are willing to let women take their place and be part of the decision-making process.

Imagine the disdain the man and his people must-have for women to frame that sentence and then tweet it with pride. Is this the man Ghanaian women are supposed to trust because he has chosen an excellent woman as his running mate?
