Seasoned journalist, Abdul Malik Kweku Baako has warned Assin MP, Kennedy Agyapong he’ll sue him for contempt if he tries to be smart with his apology.
According to Mr Baako, his legal team are preparing him with a roadmap to check Mr. Agyapong’s compliance with the court ruling on their defamation case.
Kennedy Agyapong was last week fined by an Accra High Court in a defamation suit filed Kweku Baako. The Assin MP has been given 30 days to retract and apologize three times on the platforms he made his defamatory statements against the seasoned journalist.
In addition, he’s to pay Ghc100,000 and Ghc30,000 as cost of legal expenses to Mr Baako.
Speaking on Peace FM, Kweku Baako cautioned the MP not to play smart with the apology.
“My lawyers will give me a road-map as to how this will be executed; so we’re waiting. We’ll be monitoring…We will be monitoring to see [1] if the apology and retraction will be done and [2] the content of it. And then if things don’t go right, we will go back to the court with an application for contempt,” he warned.
