2024 Polls: NDC to Elect Presidential Candidate On May 13

The National Democratic Congress (NDC) will hold its presidential primary on Saturday 13 May 2023 to elect a flag bearer for the 2024 elections.

It will also hold its parliamentary primary the same day, the general secretary of the NDC Fifi Kwetey told the media on Wednesday in Accra.

He said the opening of nominations will be from 22 to 24 February 2023.

The submission and filing of forms will also take place from 20 to 22 March 2023.

The vetting of the aspirants will be held from 27 to 29 March 2023.

After the vetting, aspirants who have issues with the vetting process will have the opportunity to appeal from 30 March to 6 April 2023 before the main primaries on 13 May.

Filing fees

Parliamentary aspirants will pay a non-refundable fee of GHC5,000 for nomination and a filing fee of GHC40,000. Presidential aspirants will pay GHC30,000 as nomination fee and GHC500,000 as filing fee.

Female candidates and persons with disabilities will pay 50% of the approved fee.
