Joseph Yammin, a former deputy Ashanti regional minister has downplayed the essence of Vice President Dr Mahamudu Bawumia’s much touted digitalisation drive.
In a live Facebook video, Mr Yammin he raised some questions about the purposefulness of digitalisation to the lives of the ordinary Ghanaian when petrol is being sold at almost GHS30 a gallon.
“Digitalisation in the face of the vast majority of Ghanaians not being able to afford two square meals a day; is that achievement?” former deputy Ashanti regional secretary of the party, Mr Joseph Yamin quizzed.
“Does the Vice-president’s digitalisation drive have a cure for malaria when people fall sick in the country? Has the digitalisation drive built schools for students to be enrolled? And what is digitalisation doing about the mass unemployment rate in the country?” he asked further.
