We Have Not Given Any Certificate To Chef Smith – Guinness World Records Finally Reacts

Guiness World Records have responded to an email enquiry from a concerned individual seeking clarification on whether or not Chef Ebenezer Smith has broken the Guinness World Record for the longest cooking marathon.

Unfortunately, GWR responded that they have not given any certificate to Chef Smith and that the current record holder is Alan Fischer who snatched the record from Nigerian Chef, Hilda Baci.

Ebenezer Smith, popularly known as Chef Smith, was arrested yesterday, on the same day he announced securing confirmation for his attempt at the Guinness World Record’s longest cooking marathon. The arrest took place at the La Palm Hotel in Accra, where Chef Smith was addressing the press about his journey towards the record.

Speaking on Hitz FM, Chef Smith’s manager, Benny, attributed the incident to claims made by musician Nana Boro, who alleged that Chef Smith owed him money. Benny explained, “A few minutes into the programme, some people came to us. One identified himself as Nana Boro, the musician and one or two people. Apparently, their issue was that they were part of the old team that one way or the other supported Chef Smith during the cook-a-thon and that Chef Smith is owing them and until he settles them, he won’t allow the press conference to come on.”

Even though many social media users doubted Chef Smith’s claims owing to the loud silence on the social media pages of GWR, his manager Benny claimed that they had received official confirmation from GWR.

Chef Smith and his team are yet to respond to this new development.
