National Communication’s officer of the opposition National Democratic Congress, Sammy Gyamfi has broken his silence on the apology letter written by media giants, Peace FM to address the impasse between the Party and the station.
The NDC officially severed ties with Peace FM’s flagship program, Kokrokoo a few months ago after their attempt to get the Station to withdraw their former Central Regional Chairman, Allotey Jacobs from the program failed.
Though veteran Journalist, Abdul Malik Kweku Baako alleged on the show last week that the NDC was begging behind the scenes to be allowed to return the show, the NDC issued a statement through their communication’s directorate that they had no intentions of returning to that show.
Following the NDC’s statement by Sammy Gyamfi, Peace FM issued a formal apology letter yesterday signed by their Managing Director, Fadda Dickson, begging the Party to let sleeping dogs lie.
Reacting to the turnout of events on Metro TV’s Good Morning Ghana, Sammy Gyamfi clarified that his party has no qualms with Peace FM per se, except the empanelling of the Kokrokoo show.
He further assured that the Party will meet in due course and discuss the contents of the letter and issue an appropriate response in the coming days.
