We Are Disappointed In Supreme Court Ruling, We Disagree With The Court – John Mahama Fires

The Former President and flagbearer of the NDC for the 2020 election, John Dramani Mahama has expressed his disappointment and that of his party in the verdict given by the supreme court in the case brought against the EC by the NDC.

Addressing a press briefing at the NDC headquarters, the former President said his party is absolutely dissatisfied with the ruling of the seven member panel of the Supreme Court.

“Despite the well-reasoned reliefs we sought, the apex court of our land has given a leeway for the Electoral Commission to go ahead with the exclusion of the existing voter identification card from the list of identification requirement for the registration of the new register.” He said.

“We are deeply disappointed and we sternly disagree with the court over this outcome which has confounded many legal experts and indeed has thrown the whole country into a state of confusion”. He added.
