Voter Registration- PNC’s Bernard Mornah Throws in the Towel

The old adage of the survival of the fittest comes into play as Bernard Mornah finally succumb to the powers of the Electoral Commission of Ghana.

The National Chairman of the People’s National Convention, (PNC), hitherto was in disagreement with the EC’s decision to compile a new voters’ Register ahead of the 2020 General Elections.

According to Mr Mornah, the massive disapproval the EC has received on its decision to compile the new register is unprecedented yet the EC couldn’t be bothered.

Mr Mornah said the EC is adamant because it has the backing of the ruling party therefore he has no option but to throw in the towel and register.

However, he cautions the EC to watch out for some potential dangers that could mar the process.

“Never in the history of our nation has the EC decided to embark on an exercise received such a massive rejection from the population. The EC has the backing of the ruling party and therefore they want to go ahead. We have no option because our hands are tied to our backs, but we have alerted some potential dangers and the EC much watch out,”

Mr. Mornah was speaking on Eyewitness news on Monday.
