Chairman of the National Democratic Congress, Samuel Ofosu Ampofo has hit out at President Akufo Addo claiming he’s been dishonest regarding the deployment of some security forces in some parts of the Volta region.
According to Mr Ampofo, the president is intimidating the opposition stronghold and he finds it unbelievable to hear Akufo Addo say he’s fought for democracy all his life.
“President Akuffo Addo claims he’s fought all his life for democracy, but he’s doing exactly opposite to what he preaches.
“People cannot express their feelings in the country anymore. If you talk they’ll insult and threaten you…. be honest with yourself and the God you always mention His name when you talk,” he stated.
The opposition National Democratic Congress has been on the neck of government for intimdating Voltarians after the deployment of some security forces there.
Meanwhile the government insists the military personnel are solely there to safeguard the country’s borders and not to intimidate any citizen.
