U-Turn: Mahama Finally Includes Head Of Abudu Royal Family In His ‘Thank You’ Tour After Pressure From Dagbon Natives

Former President John Dramani Mahama has demonstrated that he is a leader who listens after finally including a courtesy call on the Mion Lana, Abdulai Mahamadu in his Thank You Tour after backlash from some concerned citizens of Dagbon.

Dagbon finally saw peace after years of war following the unfortunate skirmishes that occurred in 2002, which left over 30 people dead, including the King of Dagbon, Ya Naa Yakubu Andani II.

Since the enskinment of Ya Naa Abukari Mahama II, and the two regents of the Abudu and Andani gates being appointed to the Mion and Savelugu skins, peace has returned to the powerful kingdom of Dagbon once more.

This is why many people were worried when it emerged that former president Mahama had strangely left out a courtesy call on the Mion Lana as part of his thank you tour.

Many had accused the former president of being a divisive leader, however, the former president’s team admitted that it was a genuine error on their part and pledged to rectify the anomaly.

True to their words, a new itinerary shows that Mr Mahama will pay a courtesy call on the Mion Lana, in addition to other notable chiefs in Dagbon.

The former President will also pay a courtesy call on the Overlord of Dagbon himself, Ya Naa Abukari Mahama.
