Manasseh Azure Forced To Delete His Post And Apologize To President Akufo-Addo After Insulting Him Yesterday

Award-winning Investigative journalist, Manasseh Azure Awuni has been forced to retract and apologize to President Akufo-Addo following a comment he passed on the President’s conduct yesterday.

Manasseh Azure Awuni, in a post yesterday, suggested that the President speaks as if there’s no elder at home, a post which many saw as offensive.

Following the massive backlash, Mr Azure has taken down the post and rendered an apology to the President and everyone who found the post offensive.

However, even his apology appears to be nothing but a reinforcement of his earlier post.

He wrote, “Yesterday, I wrote a post that said some of the president’s pronouncements are not befitting of a man of his age. Some respectable friends who reached out to me said they have found the wording of the post distasteful and appealed to me to do something about it.

Accordingly, I have pulled down the post and apologise to the president and whoever is offended by the post. I, however, stand by the substance of the post, that some of the utterances of the president are not befitting of him. For instance, there’s nothing funny about Kwaku Agyeman-Manu’s actions to warrant a public joke about it. This week, it was Domelevo’s comment”.
