Residents in the Upper West Regional capital of Wa, on Tuesday gave a resounding welcome to the presidential candidate of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), Mr John Dramani Mahama, into the Region.
The former president was greeted with several thousands of motorbike riders amid joyous songs and dance, as he strolled through the principal streets of Wa.
The NDC flagbearer took to twitter to express his gratitude for the “tumultuous and energizing welcome” he was given.
Mr Mahama is embarking on a four-day tour of the Upper West Region from Wednesday to Saturday.
He is expected to meet with chiefs, opinion leaders, organised groups and leaders of religious bodies and will also address people in various communities during his tour of the Upper West Region.
