Veteran journalist Abdul Malik Kweku Baako has backed former President Mahama’s call for the audit reports on cocoa roads to be made public by the government.
Making his case on Peace FM’s Kokrokoo Show, Mr. Baako quashed any excuses for the report to be made secret.
According to the Editor-in-Chief of the New Crusading Guide newspaper, the publication of such reports will breed a culture of transparency, accountability and probity in the nation’s fight against corruption.
He urged that if not the general public, the report should be made available to Parliament for a proper interrogation and understanding of any issues the ruling government had with the awarding of these cocoa roads contracts by the erstwhile Mahama administration.
