Vice President Dr Mahamudu Bawumia has taken a swipe at former president John Dramani Mahama over the cost of his Kwame Nkrumah (Circle Dubai) interchange which he claims could have built four interchanges.
According to Bawumia, the Akufo Addo led government is constructing the Tema, Pokuase and Obetsebi Lamptey interchanges in the Greater Accra Region and Tamale in the Northern region, all at a total cost of $289million.
Meanwhile former president Mahama constructed one interchange at a cost of $260million.
“I would just leave that for you to ponder,” Dr Bawumia said.
Mahama commissioned the redesigned Kwame Nkrumah interchange to ease traffic congestions in the capital ahead of the 2016 elections.
