Flagbearer of the United Progressive Party (UPP) Akwasi Addi Odike has pointed accusing fingers at President Akufo-Addo for being the cause of the secessionist attacks being witnessed in the Volta Region.
Speaking at the launch of his party’s manifesto, Odike noted that the people of Volta have felt suppressed under the Akufo-Addo led administration coupled with a bad constitution, poor court and security services, political interference and economic inequality.
Mr Odike suggested that the excessive powers vested in the President must be stripped and given to the people to also feel a sense of belonging in the country.
In doing so, he believes the problem of secessionism can be brought to an end.
