Sunyani West NPP MP’s Driver Arrested By Vigilant Youth For Driving Police Vehicle

One Kweku Boahen, the personal driver of Sunyani West MP, Honourable Ignatius Baffuor Awuah has been arrested by some vigilant youth in Sunyani for driving a branded police vehicle.

The citizens’ arrest came after some of the the teeming youth identified the NPP parliamentary candidate for Sunyani West’s driver behind the wheels of a police pick-up.

The youth accosted Mr Boahen and ordered him to come out of the vehicle to save himself from being manhandled. He was later dragged to the Sunyani East Police Station.

According to the Police, the vehicle in question was a police vehicle that was auctioned in Tamale. According to them, it is unclear if the Sunyani West MP was the one who bought that auctioned car.

The question still remains why an auctioned police car still has the branding of the Ghana Police Service.
