Published

on

Day in and day out, Ghanaians stranded in abroad as a result of the international crisis, Covid-19 leading to border closures, continually seek for the help of government to return to the country.

The latest are Ghanaians stranded in India who have shared their unhappiness over what they termed as exorbitant fees charges to undergo the mandatory quarantine if they are evacuated back to Ghana.

The stranded Ghanaians begged government to assist them with an evacuation plan so they can return to the country.

However, they lamented about the GH₵600.00 to be charged daily for a persons hotel fees.

Reports reaching us indicate that, there are about 10 stranded Ghanaians whose data were collected two months ago to be evacuated back to the country but to no avail.

Government has however revealed that, the problem of stranded Ghanaians being evacuated back into the country would be done in phases with a 14- day mandatory quarantine of which all of the charges associated with it would be borne by the individual.

Airport View Hotel, Airport View Hotel and Marriot Hotel are places where evacuated arrivals are quarantined.
