A former National Women’s Organiser of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), Anita De Sosoo has bemoaned the timing of Prof Kwamena Ahwoi’s book, ‘Working With Rawlings’.
According to her, it was a bad idea to publish it in a build to the elections insisting it was going to do some damage to the NDC as political opponents will be armed with more sensitive information of the party.
Speaking in an interview she said, “We cancel Prof Ahwoi’s book in Jesus name. This book will destroy a lot of things in the NDC. We have given our political opponent the chance to know more about us. Prof. Ahwoi shouldn’t have brought this book at this time.”
Anita De Sosoo expressed concerns that the NDC flagbearer, John Dramani Mahama could bear the brunts of the negative effects of the bad timing of the book release.
Prof. Kwamena Ahwoi in his book disclosed some strategies the NDC used to ‘ tame’ former president Jerry John Rawlings whenever he speaks.
According to the book, Mr Rawlings made some comments that almost forced late President Mills to resign. Therefore they decided to train some young NDC guys who’ll speak against him (Rawlings) whenever he speaks.
These young guys were later referred to as ‘babies with sharp teeth’ by Rawlings.
