Police Arrest Forty (40) People for Not Wearing Face Mask In Accra

Forty persons have been arrested by the Operations team of the Railways Police Command in Accra Central Business District for non- compliance with the mandatory wearing of face mask.

The public Relations Officer of the Accra Regional Police Command, DSP Afia Tenge said the persons have been granted bail.

She said the operations were carried out by the Railways operational team led by the District Commander DSP Asante around Knatamato, CMB and its environs to enhance the mandatory wearing of facemask to combat the Covid19 disease.

She indicated that,caution statements were taken from each of the suspects as further action would be taken on them today, June 24.

A twenty five member team conducted the operation ‘wear your face’ mask within the Central business district, Kantamanto and its environs yesterday.
