Some photos circulating on social media suggest that top guns of the ruling New Patriotic Party have been campaigning in senior high schools despite the Ghana Education Service and the sector Ministry issuing strict COVID-19 protocols that prevent even parents from visiting their wards.
It will be recalled that as part of the measures instituted by the Opoku Prempeh-led Education Ministry to protect students and teachers from the ravaging coronavirus pandemic, strict guidelines were introduced, which among other things prevented students from leaving the confines of school, amid other strict measures.
It will also be recalled that it was such strict measures that led to a student of the KNUST Senior High School dying under bizarre circumstances last week, after he was allegedly prevented from going outside the school to seek proper health care.
However, it appears those laws do not apply to apparatchiks of the ruling party, as it is being alleged that despite the strict guidelines, top shots of the ruling party are still allowed to meet students in school to campaign.
Some photos circulating online show NPP Youth Organizer, Henry Nana Boakye (Nana B) and other party people supposedly campaigning to some final year SHS Students.
