NPP Will Lose If You Vote Me Out – Wontumi Warns
The Ashanti Regional Chairman of the governing New Patriotic Party (NPP), Bernard Antwi Boasiako (Chairman Wontumi) has cautioned delegates against kicking him out.
Speaking on Accra-based Neat FM, he said if he is voted out as chairman of the NPP in the Ashanti region, the party will fall and lose the 2024 polls.
According to him his political prowess in the region is like the football prowess of Lionel Messi of PSG.
“My exit from the region will be like Messi leaving Barcelona which has resulted in the dwindling fortunes of the team. Since the exit of Messi from Barcelona, the team has been lagging behind among its peers,” he argued.
“So my exit will affect the fortunes of the NPP in the region,” he added.
He maintained that all the people lacing their boots to contest him, cannot do the job he has been doing for the party in the region.
“These are people who do not have the capacity to continue from where I’ll leave the party if the delegates take a decision to vote against me.”
