Member of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Charles Owusu has pleaded with leaders of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) to be measured in their utterances when addressing the president, Akufo-Addo.
Speaking on Peace FM’s ‘Kokrokoo’ morning show he said calls for the president to complete abandoned projects are in order, however, insulting comments about his age must not be condoned.
“But let us be minded by our language, people using terms like ‘we will not allow an old man …’ all those languages do not help. Let us focus on the message but not the messenger,” Owusu said.
He also admonished General Secretary of the NDC, Johnson Asiedu Nketia for mocking the president’s height, claiming it has failed to increase at any point in time.
According to Mr Owusu, criticism can be made without attacking the personality of the President.
