NPP Leadership Doesn’t Just Talk, They Do The Work – Kuffour Urges Ghanaians To Retain Gov’t

Published

on

Former President of the Republic, John Agyekum Kuffour has urged all Ghanaians to give the current New Patriotic Party administration another term to govern the country.

According to him, the leadership of the party are people who go beyond words and put their talks into action.

He made this statement to the National Council and members of the National Executive Committee of the NPP at the acclamation of Nana Akufo-Addo as the party’s presidential candidate ahead of the December elections.

“This leadership doesn’t just talk; it does the work. This is why Ghana must just give the NPP another term. I always say that our party is destined to lead in the transformation of the country and the party always gives the leadership that will do the work for the people of Ghana. It is not easy for old men to see their grandchildren rise and prosper the way this party is doing. I pray that God will give our current leadership the victory, and the victory should be sustained. It should be victory after victory for the NPP and Ghana,” he intimated.

According to the former president, the Akuffo Addo, Bawumia combination will continue to create wealth and bring the necessary positive change needed to develop the country.

“Nana Akufo-Addo and Bawumia will continue and the future of the party will be sustained for Ghana inclusively not just for our party -the rule of law, wealth creation, and humanity will all come together and the promises will be clear for anybody who wants to see, he said.

I Am Not In ICU- Carlos Ahenkorah Releases Statement To False Claims

Published

on

There had been news making rounds that the Deputy Minister for Trade and Industry and the Member of Parliament for Tema West Constituency, Hon. Carlos Ahenkorah had contracted coronavirus and currently receiving treatment at the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) at the Korle Bu Teaching Hospital.

However, the lawmaker had debunked the rumors saying he was admitted for an overnight check in relation to his COVID-19 status and there was not more to that.

Carlos was said to have been admitted at the ICU with NPP’s Mark Manu immediately after the demise of Sir John.

Mark Manu is yet to respond to the claims.

Below was the statement released to that effect:

I am not in ICU – Carlos Ahenkorah

My attention has been drawn to messages circulating on social media to the effect that I am in ICU after testing positive to COVID-19 sending worrying signals and misinformation to my well-wishers and party faithful.

I must categorically state that I am not in ICU neither am I in Korle-Bu at the moment. I was admitted for an overnight review on my COVID status at the ISOLATION CENTER in Korle-Bu yesterday around 5 pm and discharged at 11 am this morning.

I have not in any way been taking ill or suffer any serious break down to send me into ICU.

I ask all and sundry to disregard this hollow speculation and confirm I’m as fit as I use to be.

Thank you!

Police Arrest 3 NDC Executives In Asawase For Possessing Voter Registration Forms

Published

on

Some three (3) branch executives of the opposition National Democratic Congress were arrested by the police on Wednesday, 1 July 2020 for possessing registration forms of the Electoral Commission and distributing same.

They were allegedly distributing the forms to prospective registrants to fill. They are being kept in the custody of the regional police headquarters. They were picked up at the Mamponhene registration centre within the Akwatialine area while distributing the forms.

The Asawase constituency communication officer of the NDC, Alhaji Yakubu Tony Aidoo, told Kumasi FM’s Elisha Adarkwa in an interview that the party is doing everything it can to secure freedom for the three suspects.

It is unclear what might actually have led to the arrest of the 3 executives since the EC itself has given Ghanaians the opportunity to download the registration forms online even before visiting the centres.

Nana Akuffo-Addo Is The Cause Of Ghanaians’ Deep Mistrust For Politicians, He Is Worse Than His Predecessors – A Plus Declares

Published

on

Musician and Political activist, Kwame Asare Obeng, popularly known as A Plus has described President Akuffo Addo as worse than all his predecessors. According to him, the President is the reason for the deep mistrust Ghanaians have now developed for politicians.

A Plus, who until recently was a fierce supporter of Nana Akuffo-Addo, Ghanaians trusted him and gave him their full support but he is worse than his predecessors.

In a lengthy post on Facebook, he wrote, “I wished politicians speedy recovery in my previous post and almost everyone commenting is angry that I did. Ghanaian politicians must be careful. The people are very angry. It doesn’t look good. One day the people will rise up against you. It is getting scary by the minute. But you see, I blame Nana Addo.

He is the cause of the mistrust in Ghana’s political landscape today. He was our last hope. Ghanaians trusted him and gave him their full support but he is worse than his predecessors. He has failed so much that just after 4 years of winning with about a million votes he has to bring his own electoral commissioner and change the voter’s register and send military who could not protect our environment in the galamsey fight to the Volta Region before he can win again. He is the reason why people have developed so much hatred for politicians. If you can’t trust Nana who can you trust?

Now he has turned into an evening news presenter. Everyday, “Fellow Ghanaians, good evening, welcome to the evening news. My name is Nana, I’m here with my co-presenter, my beautiful Rebecca. Now the news at 9.” – GBC corona correspondent. As for Ghana all it takes is to speak good English and the people will be like awwwww!!! Even Junior Agogo was once our best striker. Tweaaaa!!!

In 2016 Nana Addo was very happy when I asked how the National Organizer of the NDC, former teacher Kofi Adams got his wealth from. But he Nana was at Eugene Arhin’s baby naming ceremony. He Nana is aware of what his people are grabbing and amassing. This is 2018, let me also ask you Nana, where do your boys get all the money from? Nana Addo is a very dishonest man. I’ve said it!!! Enough of his people his people. It’s him!!!
