NPP Considers Quality, Not Tribe – Former NPP MP Schools Osei Kyei Mensah Bonsu

Former NPP MP for Kwadaso, Josephine Hilda Addo has said that the NPP considers quality when choosing their leaders, and makes no room for tribal considerations.

Her comment comes after the MP for Suame, Osei Kyei Mensah Bonsu espoused that it will be unwise for the NPP to present another Akan after Akufo-Addo.

Mr Mensah Bonsu made this assertion when he was speaking on JoyNews’ ‘The Probe’.

According to him, since the NPP has been tagged over the years as an Akan party, it will be prudent for the party to take strategic measures to disprove that notion.

Osei Kyei Mensah Bonsu believes it is time for a non-Akan to lead the NPP, though he refused to stick his neck out for Dr Bawumia.

The majority leader said it is too early and that he will stick his neck out when the time is right.
