Former Ghana’s Ambassador to India, His Excellency, Sam Pee Yalley has told the New Patriotic party to stop telling the NDC who is fit to be their Vice President and who is not.
According to him,it is the prerogative of the National Democratic Congress to choose who they want and not what the opposition party thinks.
Speaking on UTV’s ‘Adekye Nsroma’ Mr Yalley said the NDC Flagbearer made a good choice in Naana Jane Mensah, saying it’s long overdue Ghana had a female as vice president.
“It takes a coach to decide which player he will use to win a game. NPP cannot in anyway show us what is good for us,” he stressed.
Mr Yalley chided persons who claim the country is not ready to have a female leader. He stresses that Ghana is even late as other under developed countries have had female leaders.
“Indeed, no one can convince me any day that we can’t have a lady lead this nation. We are even late as a country to make this move.”
“Prof. Jane Naana Opoku-Agyemang is the best candidate to partner Mahama,” he said.
