NPP Beware! General Mosquito Is A Colossus In Elections- Political Researcher Warns

A political researcher, Dr. Smart Sarpong, has warned the New Patriotic Party (NPP) to take note of the meteoric rise of Johnson Asiedu Nketia- advising that he is a political colossus who can’t be easily written off when it comes to elections.

Dr. Sarpong in an interview on Wontumi TV, stated that Mr. Asiedu Nketia popularly known as General Mosquito, needs to be applauded for unseating Mr. Samuel Ofosu Ampofo as the National Chairman for the National Democratic Congress (NDC).

According to him Ofosu Ampofo had a good message to sell to delegates who voted in the just ended NDC congress but General Mosquito, managed to use witty ways to dismantle it.

He therefore called on the national executives of the NPP to take lessons from the proceedings adding that NPP can have a good message in 2024, but General Mosquito can destroy it.

Dr. Sarpong noted but for the last minute tactics of General Mosquito, Ofosu Ampofo would have retained his position as National Chairman.

“Ofosu Ampofo would have retained his seat but for the last minute things that came out, it made people have a change of mind. They said things about him that didn’t help his image. They made Ofosu Ampofo look like a man who didn’t like John Mahama. We have to congratulate General Mosquito, he has shown that you can have a good message but you always have to watch your back”, he said.
